The Pan American Photo Art Company and the Pan American Publishing Company were essentially the same entity, producing good quality views out of Salt Lake City during the 1890’s and 1900’s. The company issued scarce United States scenery and genre views on curved mounts. Their subjects were quite varied, among them; the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire, the St. Louis Expo of 1904, Niagara Falls, Southern California Missions and assorted genre views. Many of the images were credited to J. B. King (an unknown Utah photographer). Numbers have been seen into the 4,000’s but the actual total issued are far fewer than that.
Yellowstone is represented by both company names. They are quite scarce, though several dozen may have been originally printed.
