Virtually no information has survived pertaining to this obscure stereoview producer at the turn of the century. Run by Thomas Crahan, the company was active in Seattle, Washington from 1899-1900. Crahan, was also an assistant to R. K. Bonine during his Alaska visit to the Klondike in the summer of 1899. As a commercial cinematographer, Crahan was involved in the preparation of Bonine’s moving pictures for the 1900 Paris International Exposition. Stereoviews by the Crahan Manufacturing Company are very rare. Subjects under this name seem to be limited to Washington State, Alaska and Yellowstone.
